Horsepasture

This is what it's all about. Just like the real parking lot, this is the place to shoot the breeze and talk trash. Just keep it clean!

Horsepasture

Horsepasture River. So much goodness packed into such a short stretch of river. Paddling the HP does not come easy, it requires a 1.5 mile hike in to the bottom of Rainbow falls. Then you paddle roughly 1.25 miles of some the best WW in the southeast. Then its a short 3 mile hike (uphill) back to truck. Is it worth it? definitely. The rapids on the HP are huge. When you are sitting at the top of the rapid and all you can see is the tops of the trees at the bottom, you know its a long way down. We rallied with a group of 10, with the majority of them from Columbia. Here's a few shots from our trip.
